Oh dear. It's about all I can say really. I've had a very up and down day today, here's how it's gone: 1. I watched Pirates of the Caribbean last night until gone midnight. Therefore I was not interested when David's alarm went off this morning. I turned the lamp on like a good girl, but my eyes wouldn't stay open. Then I realized...

Today I saw my husband! This is currently quite an achievement as he works a lot. It's been hard on both of us, well all of us, really. It's just at the moment, as it has been tipping it down in the Algarve since before Christmas and has now stopped, which means that all the boat painting, fixing, scraping, sanding, gel coating and whatnot that they haven't been able to do needs to get done by yesterday before the boats go back in the water!

I've been asked to do a press release now, which of course, is fabulous, but I'm kinda lost as to where to start.

Howdy folks and welcome once again. This is going to be a bit rushed, as I have a ten thirty bus to catch, but I wanted to just jot some thoughts down.

My name is Katie and I am an Internetolic. There, I've said it. Today I caught myself, at my parents for a family lunch, sitting at the computer desk trying to think of something to do on the internet. My fingers hovered hopefully above the keys, waiting for inspiration, and what happens? I type in "pink elephants". This is the point at which I realise I have a problem.

It's Friday and more importantly for us, Father's Day here in nearly sunny Portugal. This is quite a momentous one for David as he has his first public Daddy Duty this evening.

I've just checked my blog and I think that the 3rd was the last post! Since then, I've had a birthday, a motorbike stolen, had the electricity cut off for non payment of the bill by the landlord and a death in the family.

Well, what a week! Could it rain any more?? I have ben so busy deciding to really kick myself into gear and to sort out a website.

Today, my mother asks me if I ever have a normal day. I tell her that this is why I started the journal, to see if I actually had something to write about every day.

Well, here we are again. I have been meaning to update here for weeks, but dodgy internet has put paid to that.

Yesterday we returned to our idyllic country estate. Don't panic; just to pick some stuff up.

How do you start this kind of thing? Honestly I haven't kept a journal since I was a teenager. I tended to get fed up with such things as I could always think faster than I could write. The resulting scrawl just wasn't worth keeping for posterity!! Now I am having a similar problem as I am typing with one hand whilst cuddling my daughter with the other.
